A broad range
We have expanded our product range to enable customers to select a suitable covering for each specific purpose. When designing products we always endeavour to make them as environmentally friendly as possible. At the same time, we do not compromise on other characteristics in regard to product use and machinability. Our range includes water-soluble varnishes, paints and coatings which can also be used for covering a concrete foundation. Asphalt, plywood and metal foundations call for elasticity in the coating. The most suitable covering in these circumstances is a polyurethane compound. When selecting an appropriate material, the quality of the base, working conditions, time table requirements, any possible official and fire regulations, and of course the appearance, all have to be taken into account in addition to the mechanical and chemical stresses to which the material will be subjected.
Choosing a floor covering
In general, floor coverings are divided into several types based on the thickness of the film. The thickness of the covering is frequently governed by the resistance to mechanical stress required. The thinner absorption and paint treatments are intended for fairly light physical wear. Thicker compound floors are made for heavy duty industrial use. To make choosing easier, we have published a separate guide. Particularly when the floor is expected to withstand chemical stresses as well, the use of these special products is unavoidable. In industrial premises the nature of the floor is important and the wrong choice of surfacing may constantly hamper production. This is especially so when there is no time for renovations.
Repair compounds for concrete surfaces
Our product range also includes epoxy based, 2-component injection compounds and putties for repairing cracks in concrete flooring. Using such compounds it is possible to produce repairs that are as strong as the original material.
Studies produce data on product properties
In addition to carrying out our own research, we have also sent products to outside research establishments for independent testing. Nanten products are tested for resistance to wear, grip, compression strength, steam permeability, electrical conduction, fire resistance and emissions. We have notified the customers of the results of the tests by incorporating these in the technical descriptions of the products.
